About the Association of Youth Mentors
Promoting excellence and expanding access to high-quality youth mentoring worldwide.
Who We Are
The Association of Youth Mentors is dedicated to advancing the practice of youth mentoring worldwide. An initiative of The Mentoring Lab, The Association of Youth Mentors is run by experienced practitioners and researchers in the field of youth development, who have seen the transformative power that mentoring relationships can have in the lives of young people.
We have recognised the need for greater coordination, quality standards, and support for those delivering this important work. As part of this work, the Association has authored a comprehensive Youth Mentoring Toolkit and established Quality Standards for Youth Mentoring Programs.
We have also delineated key Mentoring Roles and Responsibilities to guide effective practice.
